Vientiane, March 27, 2025 – The Implementation Management Committee (IMC) convened its first meeting of 2025 for the ASEAN-Swiss TVET Initiative (ASTI) on Work-Based Learning (WBL) at Lao Plaza Hotel.

Organized by the Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LNCCI) in collaboration with the Department for Technical and Vocational Education (DTVE), the meeting assessed project progress, challenges, SWOT analysis, and future strategies. Co-chaired by Mr. Tingkham Soulintha, Deputy Director General of the Department of TVET (MoES) and Mr. Phouxay THEPPHAVONG, Secretary General of LNCCI, the session reinforced coordination efforts and strategic alignment with national development goals. Stakeholders reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing WBL frameworks for a skilled workforce.
