VIENTIANE Capital, Lao PDR – May 23, 2025 –The Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LNCCI) is expanding its collaboration with development partners to

improve internship and apprenticeship models in the private sector. With support from the ILO’s Rural Employment Promotion (REP) Project, LNCCI aims to bridge the skills gap between training institutions and employer needs, fostering inclusive growth particularly in the livestock sector, a key driver of rural employment.

As part of this initiative, LNCCI will assist Betagro Lao Sole Co., Ltd in developing and implementing operational guidelines for structured apprenticeships. This pilot program will enhance workforce readiness while ensuring alignment with industry demands. Both parties have outlined clear roles and responsibilities to ensure effective implementation and long-term sustainability.

This partnership underscores LNCCI’s commitment to strengthening vocational training and supporting private sector growth. The initiative is expected to serve as a model for scalable, employer led apprenticeship programs across Laos.
