Pakse, November 22, 2021.  The USAID Laos Business Environment Project, in collaboration with the Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LNCCI) and the Champasak Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), organized a two-day training workshop on local public-private dialogue (LPPD)-related skills for the CCCI Secretariat team and LPPD coordinators.  The training was held on November 22-23, 2021 in Pakse, Champasak.

The training focused on facilitation skills development for the LPPD Secretariat and LPPD coordinators so that they can effectively perform their respective roles.  It also included training on how to prepare and present position papers to relevant government authorities.  The main objective was to provide participants with a full understanding of the LPPD mechanism.  Approximately 25 individuals participated in the two-day training program.

During the opening of the training workshop, Ms. Bounhaeng Calor Liddung, the President of CCCI, said that “in order to achieve the objective of this training, I urge you to actively participate, and exchange lesson learnt openly and creatively.  The training topics chosen will be very useful for LPPD secretariat and LPPD coordinator to perform their task and function”.

In order to enhance the learning experience of the participants, the training combined theory and practice, and it was structured to be highly interactive.
