The Prime Ministers of Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam, convened at the CLV Networking Breakfast today to discuss strengthening connectivity within the Sub-Mekong and Indochina regions. The event highlighted a shared commitment to fostering regional growth and prosperity through collaborative infrastructure development and sustainable practices.

– Enhancing Connectivity: All three leaders emphasized the critical role of connectivity—both physical (roads, railways, sea and dry ports) and digital transformation in unlocking the region’s full economic potential. They stressed the importance of efficient logistics, harmonized regulations, and cross-border collaboration;
– Enhancing Infrastructure Investments: Each nation reported significant investments in upgrading their respective infrastructure to enhance trade and economic integration within ASEAN and beyond. This includes not only physical infrastructure but also digital platforms supporting e-commerce and financial transactions; and
– Strengthening Regional Collaboration: The leaders highlighted successful collaborative projects, such as the Laos-China Railway, and stressed the importance of regional cooperation to overcome challenges and maximize the synergistic potential of the Mekong sub-region.
