Vangvieng, Vientiane Province, Lao PDR – July 4, 2025 –The second meeting for the Validation, Verification, and Certification of four National Occupational Standards (NOS)

was held at the Academy Training Hotel and Restaurant in Vangvieng District, Vientiane Province.

Co-chaired by representatives from DTVE, LNCCI, VEDI, and SDI, the meeting brought together 35 stakeholders from both the public and private sectors. The meeting focused on finalizing four NOS in Inventory Management, Customer Service, Machine Tools, and Electric/Hybrid Vehicle Repair under the Work-Based Learning (WBL) Project, supported by the ASEAN-Swiss TVET Initiative (ASTI) with Swiss funding.

Participants provided constructive input to ensure national and regional alignment. Once approved by the Ministry of Education and Sports (MOES), the NOS will guide curriculum development and contribute to strengthening Lao PDR’s TVET system and workforce readiness.
